The Software-Centric Systems Conference (SC2) is the leading software engineering conference in the Netherlands. At SC2, professionals and decision makers in information-intensive markets share best practices in the crucial and strategic discipline of complex software development. Facilitating the exchange of knowledge and experiences, the conference helps them with the use of technology, to drive innovation and to provide insight in emerging trends. Through an inspiring program of structured and informal networking they can share ideas on how to make the software engineering process more reliable and more efficient, in order to improve the time-to-market and time-to-value.

This year, the Software-Centric Systems Conference will be integrated into the Bits&Chips Event. After a successful first edition of the Bits&Chips Event last year,  we’re organizing a second edition on 9 June 2022, again at the Evoluon in Eindhoven. Conference topics will cover:

  • Managing complexity in high-tech systems
  • Leveraging models to streamline software engineering
  • Co-creating high-tech systems
  • Exploring new high-tech dimensions using extended reality

29 JUNE | 6 OCTOBER 2021

How do I optimize my time-to-market and time-to-value? How to make the software engineering process more reliable and more efficient? How do I improve my software engineering process?

PROGRAM 6 OCTOBER | 9:00 - 17:30 hours

On 6 October, we organize the live event in Eindhoven. Look on top of this page for the full program.

PREVIOUS - PROGRAM 29 JUNE  | 15:30 – 17:00 hours

We kicked off with an online session with an introductory talk by Robert Howe [Lakana]:

Maybe it’s because he’s approaching his 60th birthday or because he’s been spending too much time in isolation, but Robert Howe finds he’s getting increasingly unimpressed with myopic views about software engineering. So in this introduction to the Software-Centric Systems Conference 2021, he liked to throw down the gauntlet and challenged presenters and attendees alike to explain why the latest hot topic is so damned important.

Is machine learning really up to doing useful work? Isn’t Agile just an excuse for software engineers to avoid making delivery commitments? In a world where 99.999 percent of software already exists, what role is there for formal methods?

He expressed these and others views intended to be provocative. If he’s made you mad enough, make sure you come to the real-life SC2 event on 6 October to let him know what you think.
