Gunnar Wetzker [Philips Lighting]

From ~100% manual testing to a system team supporting continuous integration of an agile release train

11:00 – 11:40 and 15:15 – 15:55 (subject to change)

How to transform a waterfall test process with close to 100% manual testing into an agile system team supporting continuous integration of an IoT lighting control system for professional indoor applications? This talk takes you through the journey how Philips Lighting managed this transition for interact office retrofit. Instead of bulldozering long lists of issues from one iteration to the next, ever slipping releases once or twice a year, the agile release train is today able to release bi-weekly with a guaranteed level of quality. Learnings and encountered – partially still open – challenges will be explained.
