Getting into flow without buffer overflow

11:45 – 12:25 and 16:00 – 16:40 (subject to change)

Today’s development environment is characterized by a high level of complexity, uncertainty and change. Agile methods are widely introduced to tackle these challenges and even reach cult status with discussions to be for or against it. However, not the methodology makes the difference, but the person using it. Moreover, to be excellent (or prevent to get into ‘overflow’) you may need to be more than agile: initiate changes that help you and inspire your environment to get into the flow too! This energetic session introduces you to the essence of project management. By embracing the essence, you can be agile in your natural style and bridge cross-functional borders without asking people to learn a new language.

Roel Wessels (Holland Innovative)

Roel Wessels has a proven track record as a physicist and (software) project manager in the field of high-tech product development. He developed his skills in companies such as Assembléon, Daf, Ordina, Vanderlande and Philips. Last year Roel released ‘De complete projectmanager’ (Dutch), a book about the essence and application of project management and Agile leadership. In his masterclasses and keynotes he combines his action-driven character as a project manager, his passion for reducing complexity as a physicist and his drive for performance and interaction with the audience as a musician: energy, connection and flow.
